Case Study - Shoe Market of the Americas (SMOTA)

Process:  
SMOTA is tradeshow association for the traveling sales representatives in the footwear and related industries. The Association produces three tradeshows a year at the Miami Beach Convention Center and The Palms Hotel. The goal of these tradeshows is to create a venue where sales representatives and retailers can buy, sell business relations in an efficient and user-friendly environment (www.smota.com). Over the last few years EXPO has worked with SMOTA for each of the three tradeshows they produce annually. We create each show’s design as well as provide the exhibition booth construction service, the logistics of show management, tradeshow display graphics, and exhibitor produced materials. In addition, we also work with companies going to the exhibit to create custom exhibits to display their shoes above and beyond the competition. For example, we have provided our exhibition booth construction service for major shoe brands such as Steven Madden and Nine West.
     
Result:  
With EXPO on board, SMOTA’s tradeshows have transformed from 50,000 square feet to 125,000 square feet. Along the way, EXPO has created a high-end look and feel for the show by designing a theme around the SMOTA logo and implementing it on all signage and tradeshow display graphics throughout the show. The result is that we effectively produce the SMOTA tradeshow three times a year, and we will continue to do so as long as the show exists.
